It's like 4 years ago all over again... but worse

1 Dead, 17 Injured, Thousands Evacuated, 7 Fires Still Burn.

Gov. Schwarzenegger Declares State Of Emergency.

Fortunately, both Erik and I live far west from where these fires are burning, so we're fine. And hopefully, they won't reach us. But the air is horribly ashy and dusty, the smell is nauseating, and the images are horrifying! I feel grateful to be in a safe area (so far), but you can't help but being affected by all of this :(

I just heard Miramar is evacuating all its aircraft. I'll be glad when this is over; hopefully sooner rather than later.
